The MIGHTYMOM Series is a collection of children’s picture books that introduces sensitive topics to young children in a lighthearted way.
For nearly twenty-five years, Nikki Mark has developed and overseen strategic operations and special projects for Los Angeles-based start-up companies, including hospitality group sbe and Major League Soccer club LAFC. As a hobby, she wrote Mommy Brings Home the Bacon when her oldest son was four years old and repeatedly asked why she had to go to work. She was intimately familiar with the challenges and rewards of being a working mom and after being unable to find a children’s book on the topic, she felt driven to pen her very own story for her two children. Nikki self-published Mommy Brings Home the Bacon in 2011 as a way to begin the conversation between all working mothers and their children.
Nikki subsequently wrote Mommy’s Got a Bun in the Oven as a way to address a young child’s curiosity about pregnancy, and MightyMom to celebrate the hidden superpowers of moms everywhere. The latter title was co-written by her oldest son, Tommy, who was just twelve years old when he unexpectedly passed away in April 2018. Since that tragic day, Nikki and her family have established the TM23 Foundation to honor of her son and inspire children to play, pursue their dreams, be themselves and have a positive impact on their community.
100% of net proceeds from sales of all MIGHTYMOM Series books will bee donated to the TM23 Foundation.
